What is detailing?
There is no short answer for this, so we created a page dedicated to explaining this in detail! (No pun intended!)

How often should I get my car detailed?
Vehicles should get washed and vacuumed every week or fortnight and get a more in depth detail every 3 – 6 months.
The frequency and level of detail is dependant on how the vehicle is used and maintained and what level of protection has been applied to its surfaces.
Can I get my car washed or detailed today?
We are usually booked out most days in advance, however if you pop in or give us a call, chances are we may be able to get at least a wash and vac done for you last minute.
Whatever service you request will do everything we can to try and get it done as soon as possible for you.
I can wash my car at the car wash bays or automatic car wash quicker and cheaper, why come to TWENTY3GARAGE?
Because those places are NASTY. Everything they use from the water to the products and the equipment is just nasty.
When was the last time your dirty vehicle actually came out clean after being through an auto wash? The older style ones with the big spinning foam drums that slap all the dirt and grime against the paintwork of your car just make me cringe! And if you use the broom to wash your car, you may as well use steel wool.
No matter how much you rinse those things out there is no possible way to get all the dirt grit and sand the last person put into it after washing their wheels with it after driving on the beach or out bush!
The chemicals they use can cause irreversible damage to alloy, paint and plastics etc and the water pressure in the laser style auto washers is so violent it rips stickers, badges and trims off of vehicles.
Every time you wash your car at these places you decrease its value.
At TWENTY3GARAGE, even at our base level Wash & Vac service, all care is taken to ensure your investment is maintained as safely as possible and you drive away with a car that IS clean, dry and protected.
Is ceramic coating worth it?
Short answer is YES, 100%.
Protection against UV rays and fading
Resistance to damaging environmental chemicals
Hydrophobic properties that repel water and dirt
Increased gloss and shine
Easier cleaning and maintenance
All this equates to a better looking car, time saving and a higher resale value of your investment.
Gloss enhancement, polishing and paint corrections….what is the difference?
These are just new ways to describe different levels of machine polishing and could include wet sanding .
What most refer to as a “cut & polish” is now more commonly known as a multi stage paint correction…..first a cut and then a polish.
Sometimes, depending on the customers expectation and budget this could mean going over the vehicle 3 or 4 times to remove as many defects as possible.
A single stage gloss enhancement polish is applying a polish in 1 step that when combined with the correct pad, can remove very minor defects and increase gloss levels without leaving behind any holograms or buffer trails especially on soft paint.
What type of polish your vehicle should get depends on the amount and type of defects it has and your budget.
Does TWENTY3GARAGE offer a mobile service?
No. Although mobile detailing has its place, and we may provide some basic level mobile detailing at some stage in the future.
We are focused on giving our customers the best possible detailing service only an indoor, purpose built facility with everything on hand under one roof can provide.
It can be very difficult to detail a car while subject to the outdoor elements such as wind, dust, rain and the sun especially when you consider a full detail can take a couple of days…..your vehicle wont be subject to any of these environmental factors and can even stay undercover until the weather clears up.
We also wont be using your power or water, annoying your neighbours with any noise or require access to your property.
A pick up and drop off service may be available on request (subject to availability) and we are currently looking at loan vehicle options also.
What insurance does TWENTY3GARAGE have?
We are fully insured for public liability and “Goods in Care” up to $250,000 which can be increased periodically if required.
This means any vehicle in our care is covered for accidental damage or theft, even while we are driving your vehicle to and from your address if required.
Can TWENTY3GARAGE do FLEET VEHICLE maintenance cleans?
Yes, we are currently filling vacancies for regular maintenance cleans on fleet vehicles.
These spots are limited so please contact us via email for more details.
